(Reminder) Leaves are Falling, and It is Getting Cold!
Fall came full force this week, as we saw the temperature drop to 21 degrees at 7:45 in the morning!
As the weather begins to change, please remind your children that their clothes need to change as well. Coats, shoes, hats, gloves, etc. may be needed sooner rather than later.
If you need assistance in providing any type of clothing, please email Dr. Fuller at pfuller@jgsc.k12.in.us
Similarly, as the rain (and God forbid snow) begins to fall, please remember to keep it slow in the parking lot, both in the morning and afternoon. We have a lot of very excited kids eager to both come to school and go home from school, and we want to make sure we are keeping them as safe as possible.

Dr. Fuller's Thoughts!
Gratitude and Thankfulness...
It's that time of year where we get together with friends and family to eat lots of turkey and pecan pie (I LOVE pecan pie)...
...but it's also that time of year for us to slow down, and take stock of the things we are most thankful for in our lives.
Gratitude is so important: We all have those people in our lives who we are grateful for...family, friends, co-workers, the nice gentleman down the road who plows your driveway no questions asked...
Gratitude is all about having a thankful heart, and being appreciative of all that we DO have and not looking at what we DON'T have.
When we focus on giving gratitude, it becomes second nature to be a 'person for others'.
If we don't have a grateful heart, it's too easy to fall into that trap of thinking: "It should be this way" or "I deserve this"
It takes deep faith that despite the hardships you may be facing, to be grateful for what you have.
This week, I challenge you to think of three (3) things that you are grateful for.
I am grateful for...family, my wife Kristen, my son Benjamin, my daughter Brooklyn, my extended family, and friends.
I am grateful for...my health.
I am grateful for...our Walkerton Elementary Family. The students, staff, parents, and community at WES are amazing, and we have demonstrated that we can accomplish anything when we work together.
THANK YOU for making the first 1/3 of this school year such a success! I hope you and your family have an amazing Thanksgiving!
