5th Grade Invitational Tourney Saturday showcased our A and B teams, along with the best cheerleaders in the land! A Team had a nail biter versus LaVille that went to OT. They pulled out the win, and won the championship game handily. B Team fell short, but played well and made us proud. Cheerleaders fired up the fans all morning so they definitely get credit for helping with the W.

In continuing with our school theme this year to 'Be Courageous, Take a Risk, Make a Difference,' WES is proud to bring back to Walkerton Elementary the Second Annual 'Stuff the Bus' food drive! Stuff the Bus is an amazing opportunity for our students to once again give back to our community!
During the week of November 7-11, we are asking our students to bring to school non-perishable food items. Classrooms will compete to see which room can bring in the most non-perishable food items !Students from the winning class will receive (1) Their very own 'Stuff the Bus' t-shirt, exclusive to the winning class, (2) A pizza party with Mr. Stauffer and Dr. Fuller, and (3) That class will actually help STUFF A JOHN GLENN BUS filled with food! Woot woot! (Or should we say TOOT! TOOT?!)
We will then take this bus to our local food pantry, and all of the food we raise will go to our local familiar in need for Thanksgiving and Christmas.THANK YOU again for joining us in teaching our kids the importance of giving back to their community!
